‘Miracles Are Still Happening’: Move of God Leads Church to Extend Prophetic Conference

In March 2015, Caleb and Kirsten Ring became the senior pastors of The River church in Clermont, Florida, now a thriving charismatic faith community that touches the hearts of central Floridians. The four walls of The River expanded exponentially and spiritually this past week at its Prophetic Weekend Conference, originally scheduled for Aug. 1-5 but now extended until Aug. 8 due to the great move of God the church is experiencing.

The River is livestreaming the event, reaching viewers as far away as Ontario, Canada. And God continues to show His power.

In a phone interview with Charisma News, Pastor Caleb Ring shared how the church is witnessing “the Lord do miracles.” He says, “We’re getting bombarded with calls from people all across the country from Texas to even New York … people are hungry for God.”

On July 31, The River’s guest speaker, prophet Charlie Shamp, posted this video declaring his expectancy for the event:

Shamp shared on his Instagram: “We have decided because the presence has been so incredible and tangible the past few days that we are going to extend the meeting here in Clermont, Florida. There is definitely something special in the air as God has been touching His people in a very powerful way.”

Ring agrees, saying, “It’s been electric in the place, and God is just showing up.”

One beautiful testimony was shared with their team from a COVID-19 patient watching the livestream from the hospital where she was also sick with pneumonia. Ring says she “just began praising along with us during worship. … And then in 24 hours everything turned around, and they were releasing her from the hospital to go home. … She felt 100%.”

When he reflects on all the Lord has done in just the past few days, Ring looks forward to seeing how the Holy Spirit is going to move in fresh ways. “Our goal here is just to take a stand for the goodness of God and just remind people that God is here, right now,” he says. “He’s still moving, and miracles are still happening. That’s the God we serve, so be full of hope, be encouraged.”
