Mike Bickle says he’s made for prayer. What would it take for you to say the same thing?

Bickle explains his story to Dr. Steve Greene in the latest episode of the “Greenelines” podcast:

“In my early days, in college, this was like 40-plus years ago, I was really committed to be a man of God. I was 18, 19 years old, and my leaders told me that I had to grow in prayer,” Bickle says.

“I didn’t really like that at the time. I said, ‘I shall do anything but prayer. Please, not this.’ So, I read books by guys like Leonard Ravenhill and Joy Dawson and Andrew Murray, these books about prayer. I just said, ‘I’m going to be a man of prayer.’

“I’m just really being straightforward, I hated it. I would pray an hour a day, and it would be the most miserable hour. I remember saying, ‘Lord, if I’ve got to do this to be a man of God, I’m never going to make it.’

“If an angel would have appeared to me that 40-plus years ago and said, ‘Yeah, young man of God, one day you’ll have a 24-hour-a-day prayer ministry,’ I would have just collapsed in despair.”

So how did he found one of the largest prayer movements in the world? Listen to the podcast to see!
