Gospel singer Tina Campbell recently discussed her marriage with Teddy Campbell, whose infidelity caused her to become violent.

Tina Campbell and her sister, Erica, the second half of the Grammy Award-winning duo Mary Mary, appear on the June cover of Ebony. The younger sister opened up to the magazine about her marriage.

“Once I became aware [of the affair], I initially wanted to kill my husband,” Tina Campbell reveals. “I was considering adjusting the will, the living trust and all that kind of stuff. I did physically try to stab him. Several times … I never got to the point of physical harm, not really, but my words … My words hurt.”

Campbell went on to say she considered divorce but decided to work things out.

Teddy Campbell is a gospel drummer who once played percussion for The Tonight Show With Jay Leno. The couple has four children, and Teddy has a daughter from a previous relationship.

Mary Mary announced last year they would take a break while Erica works on her solo career and Tina spends time with her family. However, fans can still keep up with the duo and their families during the upcoming third season of their WE tv reality series, Mary Mary.
