‘Heaven Is for Real’ Film Trailer Gives Sneak Peek at Blockbuster Book Adaptation

The movie based on the best-selling Heaven Is for Real is set to release on April 16, and the first trailer for the much-anticipated film has been released.

Heaven is for Real, by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent, tells the true story of Burpo’s son, then-4-year-old Colton Burpo, who experienced heaven during an emergency life-saving surgery. Colton is now 13, and his story will hit theaters nationwide next spring.

Greg Kinnear plays Todd Burpo, and Kelly Reilly plays his wife, Sonja. Portraying little Colton is newcomer Connor Corum. The film also features Margo Martindale and Thomas Haden Church.

The trailer begins with Colton telling his mother, who once had a miscarriage, that he met his sister in heaven. It takes the audience through the story from there. Watch it below:
