Evil doers need to beware when they try to commit crimes at the place serving “God’s chicken.”

According to the Okaloosa County Sheriffs office, a Chick-fil-A employee sprang into action to protect a mother and child from a potential carjacking.

The carjacker, 43-year-old William Branch, approached his victim in the parking lot as she was attempting to get her infant out of the vehicle. He was wielding a stick and demanded that she turn her keys over to him. After grabbing the keys from the victim’s waistband, he entered the vehicle.

The unnamed victim began shouting for help and Chick-fil-A employee, Mykel Gordan, ran to her assistance.

Mykel was punched in the face by Branch, but wrestled him to the ground after removing him from the vehicle. Other employees and several customers rushed to help Mykel, but he eventually secured Branch in a firm headlock and waited for help.

The Chick-fil-A in Ft. Walton Beach, Florida, hailed Mykel as a “hero” and emphasized their mission of serving, and saving, the communities they are a part of.

God has used Mykel to help people in distress in the past as well. When two teenage girls had a truck fall onto their vehicle, he rushed into action to help get them out. One of the girls’ fathers told the reporting newspaper, “God resonates there. It’s a miracle in many ways how this happened. But just to have people like this that step forward and make something happen, I know not everybody is gonna do something like that.”

Now, customers can get a side-order of Jesus—and justice—with their chicken. {eoa}
