An ‘Underground’ Jesus Revolution Is Arising

The hour we currently live in is full of grave challenges, to say the least. Many are asking questions regarding how will America and other nations look in the coming years? To ignore what is happening would be foolish, especially with so much at stake.

Sadly, America is a nation that has embraced and promoted abortion as over 70 million babies have been murdered in their mother’s womb since Roe v. Wade became law. We have legalized gay marriage and now celebrate sexual practices that the Bible clearly forbids.

In recent months, many of our American cities have experienced violence that has included rioting, looting, arson, destruction of property and even murder. These realities are what America is facing, and staying on the side lines is no longer an option if we are to fulfill our role as the church during this time of history.

There is one hope for our nation, and that is the Lord Jesus Christ being manifested through His church. We are called to be “salt and light” to our culture. We are also called to shine the light of the gospel, even when it becomes uncomfortable and dangerous to do so.

Thankfully, many people who call Jesus Lord are beginning to awaken spiritually, and they are standing in boldness as the Holy Spirit is manifesting through their lives. I am convinced that this is our finest hour as the people of God, and we must be willing to count the cost in this hour as we refuse to compromise and bow to an anti-Christ agenda that is attacking so aggressively in this season.

Even as there is a revolution of violence, Marxism, hatred and more occurring in America, we need a Jesus revolution where the people of God come alive to a love for Jesus that catapults them onto the front lines. This is not a revolution of anger, taking up arms, violence and so forth. This revolution is characterized with a deep passion and love for Jesus, a willingness to take a stand for truth, a boldness to proclaim the Word of God in an hour of darkness and a deep hunger for revival that awakens the church and in turn impacts a nation!

Join me along with Pastors Joe Wyrostek, Juan Riesco and Jared Walker from The Underground Church of Chicago as we discuss some of the challenges that they have gone through as they have taken a stand for Jesus in their city. Prepare to be deeply encouraged and challenged as you listen to this vital Maintain the Flame podcast! {eoa}
