On Saturday, Trinity Broadcasting Network will launch the Christian drama series 7th Street Theater, a 30-minute show that looks behind the scenes of a fictitious stage play.

“I want to change the face of television,” said series producer Dave Christiano. “For decades, the major networks have had dramatic programs in prime time, and the day has finally come for a distinctly Christian drama series to be there as well.”

While the actors are not well-known, Christiano said they give award-winning performances.

“After people watch a few episodes and get to know [the actors], I think they’ll really appreciate the talent and personalities of each,” Christiano said. “This is a really special cast.”

The series will debut on March 3 at 11 p.m. EST. The first 24 episodes have been produced and will be available on DVD in April.
