A charismatic minister, Kenneth Copeland is a man of many talents, each of which has provided an integral piece of his decades-long ministry, demonstrating the gifts of God and the power of faith in action.

Prior to his conversion in 1967, Copeland sang his way to the Billboard Top 40 chart with his pop hit “Pledge of Love.” Shortly thereafter, he pledged his life to a different kind of Love, and enrolled at Oral Roberts University to pursue his ministry calling, founding Kenneth Copeland Ministries with his wife, Gloria, along the way.

Already an accomplished pilot when he matriculated at ORU, a prophetic word led to Copeland becoming chauffeur-in-the-skies to Oral Roberts himself for a season, traveling everywhere with the noted evangelist.

The author of myriad books on faith, righteousness and other key subjects, Copeland also made magazines, including the seminal Believer’s Voice of Victory, an important part of his ministry’s work. One pivotal moment in Copeland’s ministry was in 1975 when he felt the Lord impressing upon him to preach “the uncompromised word of faith.”

This kicked off another key phase of his multitalented ministry—televangelism.Though he had initially thought 10 stations would be a sufficient starting place, within the first year he was broadcasting on 30 stations, and within the second year his broadcasts had ballooned to 260 stations.

By the end of the decade, more than 600 stations were airing his broadcasts. Today, KCM reaches 189 countries across the globe. Beyond his influential televangelism programs, Copeland’s in-person healing ministries filled arenas across the planet. Copeland has touched countless people both through healing works and moving sermons. And with the astounding reach of KCM’s media programs, Copeland’s powerful message continues to have a truly global impact.—Jeremy Burns
