How This Crucial Characteristic Can Sanctify Your Imagination

Neuroscience reveals that when our neurons fire to create a thought, they also, over time, create pathways in our brains.

This demonstrates that who we are today is simply the ripple effect of how we have previously thought. How we think now determines how we will live tomorrow. Proverbs 23:7a states, “for as he thinks in his heart, so is he.”

Our imagination, when properly utilized, is one of the most powerful weapons God has given us. It is the incubator of our destiny and what I like to call our “hope giver.”

When times are challenging and hopelessness is knocking on your door, God has given us the gift of imagination, to dream, to believe, to hope for what is possible and what He has still promised. Darkness wants to flood our imagination with past bad experiences, unclean images and an unhealthy fantasy life to harass us and enslave us.

But heaven wants to reveal things to us through our imagination. We have to understand there is a battle over our imagination.

So often people want guidance. They pray for discernment and desire direction, but the reality is God is always revealing Himself to us. The problem lies with our inability to discern or sense revelation and His guidance.

Because many of us have filled our minds with defiling images and engaged in comprising lifestyles, our imagination becomes clouded, making it difficult for us to discern what God is saying. There is a truth that can become a game changer for you. If purity enables and enhances spiritual sight, then impurity disables and diminishes our spiritual sight.
