Bill Hamon’s Daughter-in-Law: How to Activate Your Ability to Hear God’s Voice

When Jane Hamon first heard the voice of God at age 16, it took her by complete surprise. She had gotten saved a couple of years earlier, but it wasn’t until she was filled with the Holy Spirit that she was able to recognize it was God who was talking to her.

And it changed the course of her entire life. The daughter-in-law of prophet Bill Hamon and the co-pastor of Christian International Church in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida, along with her husband, Tom, says once believers discover that discernment, it will change their lives, too.

“A couple of months after I was filled with the Holy Spirit, I was just praying and seeking the Lord in my room one afternoon, and God spoke to me in an audible voice,” Hamon told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. “Nobody had ever told me that God was still speaking today.

“He told me that the plans I had made for my life were not His plans. He just began to delineate everything that was going to happen and, instead of going to a secular school, I went to Bible College. It was there I met a young man and we got married, and we’ve been in ministry for 38 years.

“Through the years, God spoke to me through dreams and visions. It didn’t hurt that I married into the Hamon family. My father-in-law, Dr. Bill Hamon, is known as the father of the modern prophetic movement. We learned as we went along how to best activate the ability to hear the voice of God in every single believer.

“We train people how to hear the voice of the Lord and equip them to hear God’s voice for themselves. People can hear the voice of God and discern what’s taking place in the spirit realm and have the capacity to discern the times. I believe we’ve got to have our spiritual ears and our spiritual eyes opened in order to see Scripture fulfilled.”
