In a bold move to propose commonsense gun control legislation, the Democratic National Convention brought the mother of a Pulse nightclub shooting victim on stage. 

“It takes about five minutes for a church bell to ring 49 times,” Christine Leinonen told the Philadelphia crowd. “One minute for a gun to fire so many shots. Five minutes for a bell to honor so many lives.”
