GFA Film Team Presses on Through Beatings

As a Gospel for Asia-supported missionary, Nabhas serves with a film team. His team travels to villages and shows a movie on the life of Christ.

One film showing took a dramatic turn. A dozen drunken men who had joined the audience suddenly began to beat Nabhas and the other film team members. They grabbed the equipment and tossed the pieces to the ground.

Then the drunken men threatened to burn all the gear if the film team ever tried to show the film in their village again.

But then, something surprised the rowdy gang. Instead of reacting in fear, Nabhas and his companions calmly picked up the pieces of equipment and then gathered together to pray. Seeing this, the gang stopped harassing them and silently melted away.

Since the opposition had disappeared, the film team members thanked the Lord and picked the film show up where it had been cut off. In spite of the violent interruption to the film, 65 people from three villages stayed to watch. All their perseverance was worth it when two people chose to embrace the love of Christ.
