International Bible teacher Dr. Marilyn Hickey says she has a favorite church in the United States and it’s not the charismatic congregation led by her children in Denver, Colorado.

Another Spirit-filled church 62 miles from Hickey’s Orchard Road Christian Center (ORCC) is a stop for the 84-year-old evangelist when she can fit it into her worldwide ministry schedule, which includes frequent overseas healing and preaching crusades.

“I’m going to put my hand on my heart and say, ‘This is absolutely my favorite church in the United States; I love this church,'” says Hickey, who with her late husband “Pastor Wally” (Wallace) Hickey, led a charismatic church of their own.

“I love your worship and what goes on here, especially your emphasis on the Holy Spirit,” Hickey says about the church in Loveland, Colorado.

The Hickeys formed a small home fellowship in 1961 that outgrew four locations in Denver before they founded Happy Church, which was renamed ORCC and turned over to their son-in-law and daughter, Reece and Sarah Bowling, who co-hosts a daily television program with her mother, Marilyn.

Miraculously, Hickey has ministered in Iran and Pakistan and, in the fall of 2015, she will lead a missions trip to Singapore, China and Tibet.

“I feel like I’m in my 30s because Jesus is Jehovah Rapha, the God who heals me,” Hickey says.
