Billy Graham’s grandson Tullian Tchividjian has resigned from his megachurch after admitting to adultery.

The senior pastor of Coral Ridge Presbyterian Church in Florida told the Washington Post he sought friendship after his wife, Kim, had an affair, and that friendship “turned inappropriate.”

“Last week I was approached by our church leaders and they asked me about my own affair. I admitted to it and it was decided that the best course of action would be for me to resign,” he tells the Post.

After his resignation, Tchividjian tweeted, “Welcome to the valley of the shadow of death … thank God grace reigns here.”

His earlier tweets discuss God loving the broken and how He alone is perfect. The family is asking for privacy at this time.
