Engaging in Culture Wars Without Losing Compassion

It’s too easy in the culture wars to lose compassion for opponents who are launching attacks—and even death threats—against truth bearers.

The Christian Life School of Theology Global is hosting a “Biblical Sexuality in the 21st Century” conference to help culture warriors learn how to speak the truth in love in a gay-rights debate that sometimes turns hostile.

Aimed at Christian leaders—and anyone who wants to make a difference in today’s sexually broken world—the event promises to equip attendees to be a greater instrument of God’s love. Workshops will train you to connect with and understand today’s sexually broken culture.

“As you know, we are facing a tremendous culture battle today. It’s an all-out assault on biblical truth and God’s definition of marriage versus those who want to normalize same-sex unions, same-sex attraction and the aggressive agenda groups that support them,” says Randal Langley, president of Christian Life School of Theology Global.

“Unfortunately, many Christian leaders are sitting on the sidelines of this cultural hot button and conflict. Truth be told, a lot of leaders really don’t know what to say, so we say nothing. Our mission is to educate and train leaders how to be unwavering in biblical truth as well as compassionate and lovingly positioned to engage and effectively reach today’s sexually broken culture.”

Jayson Graves, M. MFT, a Christian psychotherapist and ordained minister specializing in recovery from sexual integrity issues and unwanted same-sex attractions, is the keynote speaker. Evangelical Cathedral in Spartanburg, South Carolina, is hosting the conference. Visit biblicalsexualityconference.com for more details.
