With Exodus: Gods and Kings still in the pipe, Director Ridley Scott is already setting his sights on producing another biblical epic: the life of King David.

David, as it is tentatively titled, will focus on the reign of David over the nation of Israel, not his defeat of Goliath and other exploits as a young man, according to reports.

The news comes on the heels of the leaking of the first trailer for Exodus, surfing the tidal wave of biblical films NoahSon of God, and an in-the-works film also focusing on David.

Jonathan Stokes (The Last Hurrah, El Gringo) has been set forward to write the screenplay, according to Variety. A director has not been officially announced.
