Gen. Colin Powell, the first Black U.S. Secretary of State and former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of staff who played a pivotal role in the George W. Bush presidential administration, died Monday morning at 84 from complications related to COVID-19, his family announced on Facebook.
Powell was fully vaccinated, according to the announcement.
“We have lost a remarkable and loving husband, father, grandfather and a great American,” the family statement said.

Stephen E. Strang, an accomplished journalist and the founder of Charisma Media, has just released his new book, God and Cancel Culture: Stand Strong Before It’s Too Late. Among his revelations is that China, which is “champing at the bit to become the dominant world power,” has the most to “benefit” of all global nations from the current “chaos in America.” What’s happening in America today is also “fully Marxist”—and together with many of today’s big corporations, it’s been insidiously working to “[strangle] the rest of us out of existence, canceling our culture, canceling our businesses, destroying our churches—whatever it takes,” according to Strang’s reporting.
Strang, a widely read author and Christian businessman whose other books include God and Donald Trump,reports that China already practices “a cancel culture,” as it restricts its citizens’ speech, their internet use, the issuing of visas, the prison population, and much more, so it’s already familiar with the “model.” Former President Donald J. Trump kept much of this at bay for Americans, but communist China promised to retaliate against America.
Says Strang, “What’s going on now seems even worse than George Orwell’s 1984, the famous fictional prediction of what life would be like in America if totalitarian trends continued. Increasingly, China seems to call the tune and write the checks for American corporations, including Big Tech. Disguised as an American social movement, much of today’s leftist activism is a foreign-directed communist movement within our borders and bent on our destruction. And most Americans are unaware of this.”
