Empowered21 opened its Asia Regional Congress Tuesday night with 11,000 delegates inside the Sentul International Convention Center and another 2,000 watching in tents outside, making a total of 13,000 delegates from 45 nations.

Themed Fire and Glory by the E21 Asia Cabinet, the four-day event will feature one main worship session as well as daily training sessions for Spirit-filled ministry in the areas of family, worship, prayer, marketplace, leadership, cell groups and inclusion of new generations.

“We are believing God for the greatest move of His Spirit that we have ever seen, the third Pentecost,” said Empowered21 Asia host Pastor Niko Njotorahardjo, senior pastor of Gereja Bethel Indonesia and Co-chair of the Empowered21 Asia Cabinet.

The inaugural evening, themed Night of Holy Spirit, commenced with greetings from Indonesian government officials, Christian cultural performances, worship with a 100-voice multi-church choir, flags of nations presentation and special musical guest Lee University Campus Choir from Cleveland, Tennessee.

“I believe as a result of this congress, new ministries will be born which have the potential to transform Asia,” said Dr. Billy Wilson, president of Oral Roberts University and global co-chair of Empowered21. “After eight years of Empowered21 meetings around the world, this 2018 Asia Congress is the largest in our history and will have kingdom impact far beyond our years.”

Joining Wilson as a keynote speaker will be Njotorahardjo; Lawrence Khong, senior pastor of the Spirit-empowered Faith Community Baptist Church of Singapore; Russell Evans, senior pastor of Planetshakers Church in Melbourne, Australia and E21 Oceania Co-chair; Tim Hill, general overseer of the Church of God; Cindy Jacobs, co-founder of Generals International; Daniel Kolenda, president of Christ for All Nations and co-chair of E21 Global Evangelist Alliance; Scott Wilson, senior pastor of Oaks Fellowship and E21 USA co-chair; and many others.

“Large contingents from China, Vietnam, Thailand and other nations signal the significance of uniting across Asia,” said Khong, who also serves as co-chair of Empowered21 Asia.

“Jesus has a vision for Indonesia and southeast Asia,” proclaimed Evans. “This congress—this day—is the day that God is setting up so majestically that the fire from the Holy Spirit we experience this week will spread throughout the region.”

E21 Asia Fire and Glory continues through Friday, July 20, with Night of His Glory, Night of His Fire and a closing anointing service of impartation.
