A Christian missionary to Pakistan is in critical condition after being shot in the city of Lahore.

Bergetta Emmi, a Swedish national, is director of the Full Gospel Assemblies in Pakistan.

Police said a gunman on a motorcycle shot her in front of her home. The shooter escaped and no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Bargetti is in her 70s and has worked in the Muslim country for many years.
