Why Taking Communion Is One Way to Fight Against COVID-19

As pastor Toure Roberts was asking God how to respond to COVID-19, he says the Lord put Communion on his heart. He says people still get healed when they take Communion today, in remembrance of Jesus’ body dying in our place.

“I believe that Communion is going to be another way that we fight back against this pandemic,” Roberts says. “… I believe, based on what God has shown me, that there’s going to be healing that takes place as we commune together.

“We’re going to do all that we can based on the recommendations of the medical professionals, but we as people of faith believe that there’s a God who sits high on a throne and has placed some things in our grasp that will allow us to fight back spiritually.”
