Tim Scott Responds to Racist Attack From 'The View' With Scripture

While dealing with the pressure and responsibility of launching a presidential campaign on Monday, Sen. Tim Scott, R-S.C., found himself the target of hateful, racist comments from the hosts of "The View."

Scott believes he is and will be targeted because his success "disproves the lies of the radical Left."

Co-host of "The View," actress and comedienne Whoopi Goldberg attacked Scott, saying he has "Clarence Thomas Syndrome" because he is a strong, independent-thinking, Black man, much like the Supreme Court justice, who has drawn the ire of Leftists throughout his career.

Joining in Goldberg's insulting take on a free-thinking human who does not base his outlook on life by the color of his skin but on the moral character he displays, Sunny Hostin complained that Scott has "issues" and that because he "made it" as a man born to a poor Black family in the Deep South, then "everyone can make it." She claimed Scott is "the exception, not the rule."

Hostin herself has in fact "made it," as she was a successful lawyer before she was ever co-host of "The View."

In response to these virulently racist and insulting attacks on not only Scott but Black Americans across the country, Scott responds with Scripture to make his point.

"Meekness is not weakness," Scott tells Fox News host Trey Gowdy, also a South Carolina native. "I believe in the gospel. I believe Matthew 5:44 says 'Love your enemies' —[but] if you break in my house, I also believe in the Second Amendment."

"We have to ignore the far Left by disproving their lies by our actions," Scott continues. "Here's the funny thing: The host, Sunny, she wants to be judged by the content of her character, not the color of her skin. The fact of the matter is America is a story of evolution—a never-told story of evolution in too many of our schools that are indoctrinating our kids instead of educating our kids."

"Every parent who wants a choice, look to the Republican Party," he says. "Look to the GOP, but more importantly, look at Americans, African Americans, Hispanic Americans—the majority of Americans all agree on school choice."

The National Assessment of Educational Progress, released by the Department of Education in 2022, revealed a sobering reality for parents across America: Student test scores are declining at the largest rate ever recorded, especially in areas such as mathematics and reading.

"The results show the profound toll on student learning during the pandemic, as the size and scope of the declines are the largest ever in mathematics," said Peggy Carr, commissioner of the National Center for Education Statistics, the research arm of the Education Department.

As reported by U.S. News & World Report, "Across the U.S., the average math score for fourth-graders fell 5 points since 2019, while the score for eighth-graders dropped 8 points. In reading, average scores for both grades fell 3 points."

Instead of ensuring that students are receiving a well-rounded education focused on reading, writing and arithmetic, teachers across the country are instead filling children's minds with lessons on gender ideology and critical race theory, just as Scott says.

"No question my life disproves the lies of the radical Left," says Scott, adding that the Left's "culture of victimhood is eating away at the soul of America.

"I say, not on my watch," he declares. "Let's tell the whole story of America rising."

While the path to the presidency is an uphill battle for Scott, his faith and determination will set an example for all Americans who look to better themselves and return their focus first and foremost back to the Lord God and His principles, upon which this nation was founded.
