Pro-Life Warrior Abby Johnson Explains What Might Happen if Supreme Court Overturns Roe v Wade

What happens if the U.S. Supreme Court decides to overturn Roe v. Wade completely?

That’s a question plenty of political observers have pondered since the high court took up the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case surrounding Mississippi restricting abortion at the 15-week mark.

Abby Johnson, a former Planned Parenthood clinic director-turned-pro-life icon, told Faithwire what will happen if Roe — the 1973 Supreme Court case that legalized abortion — is totally toppled.

“If Roe is completely overturned, then we’re looking at about half the states in the United States where abortion will be completely illegal,” she said. “But that doesn’t mean that it’s going to be illegal forever.”

Johnson said wealthy progressives and organizations like Planned Parenthood would seek to influence and fund gubernatorial races and other statewide offices to codify abortion at the state level.

“They are going to start funding governor campaigns,” she said. “It’s about the states.”

Johnson noted that states like California have already pledged to be abortion sanctuaries, where the procedure will be more readily and seamlessly available. This dynamic will bring a more localized approach to the abortion battle. {eoa}
