CN Morning Rundown: The Electoral College Will Be Key for Trump

Here’s a quick summary of the top stories on cn.mycharisma.com:

Why the Electoral Vote Could Be Key to a Second Term for Trump

The American media has declared Joe Biden the president-elect on the basis of the popular vote. However, the U.S. Constitution gives clear guidelines for choosing the president of the United States and neither the media nor a popular vote is mentioned. It is the Electoral College that chooses the U.S. president.

How the Electoral College Works

Article II, Section 1 of the U.S. Constitution clearly states that each state legislature shall choose electors equal to the number of senators and representatives they have in Congress. Larger states, therefore, will have more electors and less populated states will have fewer electors. California, the most populous state, has 55 electors, Texas has 38, Pennsylvania has 20, Michigan has 16, Wisconsin has 10 and so on.

The Constitution says that the electors shall meet in their respective states and vote by ballot for president. Each state will then certify and sign the list of votes and transmit them to the president of the Senate, which is the vice president of the United States.

At an appointed time, the president of the Senate shall, “in the presence of the Senate and House of Representatives, open all the certificates and the votes shall be counted.” The Constitution then states, “The person having the greatest number of votes shall be the president.”

Candace Owens Shares Why Joe Biden Is Not President-Elect

Conservative activist Candace Owens, whose videos have been highly censored for her opinions, sees the contested election and has a few questions—and some answers. “For whatever reason we have a bunch of people in America who actually believe that a Fox News or a CNN projection is a fact,” she says.

Owens says the belief is dangerous because it’s causing people to wholeheartedly believe something that is not fact, creating a mental health crisis.

However, the states have not called the election, and Donald Trump has not given a concession speech. Therefore, Owens says, the media has created a mirage.

For more on how Owens says the media is lying during the contested election process and why that is, watch the full video here.

R. Loren Sandford Calls Nation to Prayer in the Midst of Contested Election

I’m actually trying to be nice in what I’m about to say today. I’m trying to stay balanced. I want to present strategies for prayer that most of us who call ourselves Christian on all sides of the issues can own, even if we disagree.

In the aftermath of Nov. 3, many of us evangelical Christians, convinced that Donald Trump is God’s man and that the election is shot through with voter fraud and corruption, have been praying for a specific outcome for the filings, recounts and court cases. If you are not aware because the mainstream media isn’t telling you, the key and most substantive cases are being filed over the course of the next few days. It’s far from over.

Other people on the other side of the issue deny that there were any problems at all with the election and exhort the rest of us to simply graciously accept what appears to be the outcome of the election. Whatever side we’re on, we all pray accordingly for the outcome we envision.

Watch this video for more information and pray God’s will to be done in this election. {eoa}
