This is what happens when the church unites in prayer—it moves us to mission. For the past 18 months, New Mexico Prays has been covering our state in 24/7 prayer. We have 97 churches in 27 cities who each adopt a monthly day of prayer to pray for spiritual awakening in New Mexico.

Over the weekend, the body of Christ united together to serve our city at our Convoy of Hope outreach in Albuquerque. This is what Jesus did through His people:

  • 1,500 volunteers
  • 6,600 in total attendance
  • 100 participating churches, businesses, nonprofits and government agencies
  • 80,000 lbs of food distributed
  • 1,600 gardens in a bag given
  • 3,000 shoes fitted and distributed
  • 280 haircuts provided
  • 465 family portraits provided
  • 72 veterans served
  • 3,800 people prayed for
  • 102 decisions for Christ

Mayor Tim Keller, Lt. Gov. John Sanchez, US Congressman Steve Pearce, President of City Council Ken Sanchez, and Archbishop John Wester attended and spoke at the event.

Chief of Police Mike Geier attended and supplied all the officers and patrol cars for security. Secretary of Labor Celina Bussey attended and her team lead our job fair. Deputy Director of Veterans Affairs attended and his team lead our veterans services area. Presbyterian Hospital did the full medical clinic and offered to do a full children’s medical clinic next year as well. Historic event for our community.
