Two Boston police officers were wounded in a shooting on Wednesday on the city's East Side and a suspect was dead, police said.
The officers were shot when they responded to a report of a person with a gun in the Orient Heights neighborhood at about 11 p.m. local time, the Boston Police Department tweeted.
"It looks like it was a domestic incident gone bad," Police Department Commissioner William Evans told a news conference.
One of the officers was shot multiple times and was in a critical condition. The other officer was shot once or twice and was in a stable condition, Evans said.
The Boston Herald reported earlier that two suspects were in custody.
