Woman Says She Was Ticketed for Proclaiming the Name Above All Names

A woman says she was ticketed for this sign

A police officer allegedly ticketed a Florida woman because her vehicle displayed a sign with the Name Above All Names.

“First thing he said to me, he said, ‘I want you to know that you are breaking the law.’ And I said, ‘How am I breaking the law, sir?’ He said, ‘With that sign up there, that Jesus thing up there,'” Judy Jones told local news outlets.

Jones’ car displays a sign along the top of her windshield that says, “What Would Jesus Do?”

Yet the Florida Highway Patrol says the $100 ticket has nothing to do with the sign’s content.

Florida law mandates that a driver should have no signs, posters or stickers on the windshield or windows (except those required by law).

But Jones still believes it is religious discrimination.

“I was picked out to be picked on in the name of Jesus,” she says.
