Up to 13,000 Americans are expected to die in a long-overdue earthquake set to soon crumble the Pacific Northwest.  

The prediction hit major news networks like Fox News more than a year ago after Kathryn Schulz penned her article in the New Yorker.

“This is one time that I’m hoping all the science is wrong, and it won’t happen for another thousand years,” Kenneth Murphy, who directs FEMA’s Region X, tells Schulz.
