NewSpring Church fired founder and senior Perry Noble for his addiction to alcohol. Though the ousted pastor remained largely silent on social media, he took to Facebook to clear the air.

"I'm sorry that I allowed a dependency on alcohol. I ran to it instead of Jesus, and that was wrong, and I am sorry, and I am going to do whatever it takes to make it right," Noble said in a Facebook Live video.

He expressed gratitude for the thousands of people who have been praying for him, which include famed Christians like Dave Ramsey, Beth Moore, Donald Miller, Jon Acuff and more.

"I want you to know I've felt those prayers. I have felt encouraged, and I am taking steps to get better."

Noble says he will check into a treatment facility to fight his addiction. He'll also be working with a team to "take the next step."

"I'm serious about fighting for my wife and my daughter, and I'm serious about following Jesus," Noble says.
