During the final days of August 2015, the global stock market faced its worst trading week in years, sparking mass fear of another financial collapse.

As economic uncertainty spreads, public attention has turned to the New York Times best-selling book The Mystery of the Shemitah by Jonathan Cahn. The publishing phenomenon details accounts of events on a seven-year cycle that have impacted the economic course of America and how behind these events is a mystery ordained in the Bible.

“I believe a great shaking is coming to America and the world,” Cahn says. “A shaking that will involve a financial and economic collapse, and yet a shaking not limited to those realms. I believe it is wise to be ready—physically, emotionally, morally, and most of all spiritually.”

In Cahn’s inaugural 2012 release, The Harbinger, he first introduced readers to the Shemitah and how it related to the September 11 attacks and the collapses that America experienced in 2001 and 2008. The Shemitah, or Sabbath year, is the seventh year of the seven-year agricultural cycle mandated by the Torah for the land of Israel. Understanding this seven-year pattern is essential for understanding the prophecies and mysteries of the Bible that are still applicable today.

But that isn’t where it ends. In The Mystery of the Shemitah, Cahn reveals his research on patterns throughout the history of America that line up with the Shemitah. Readers will discover:

 How the Great Depression and other economic events fit into the Shemitah
 How the pattern of sevens predicted 9/11 to the exact hour
 How the World Trade Center was conceived, started, finished, and destroyed in Shemitah years
 How the rise—and possibly the fall—of America can be linked to the Shemitah

With over 500,000 copies sold and multiple weeks on the New York Times best-seller list, The Mystery of the Shemitah has become a publishing phenomenon. Maintaining momentum through media appearances and enthusiastic readership, this sophomore release from Jonathan Cahn is a catalyst for spiritual growth and a staple in national discourse.
