Duck Dynasty’s Willie Robertson Has Endorsed This Presidential Candidate

There’s no telling how Bobby Jindal will do in the GOP contests, but he’s already won the Duck Dynasty primary. Reality star Willie Robertson sent out an e-mail asking supporters to consider donating to Jindal. “I‘m the kind of guy who really likes smart people – and Bobby’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met in my life,” Robertson wrote in an e-mail that went out on Tuesday, according to Bloomberg Politics, although it was clearly written earlier. Duck Dynasty is shot in Louisiana, and the bandana-clad Christian’s support is not exactly a surprise. Robertson told Fox News’ radio Brian Killmeade he planned to back Jindal if he ran for president before he entered the race. “Bobby is a great man. He’s a godly man,” he said. “We actually invited him to church, and he just preached. It wasn’t real political. He just talked about his relationship with the Lord.” “I know the values he has,” Willie said. The fundraiser reads in full:

Friend,

Last week, my friend Bobby Jindal announced his campaign for President. I’m excited he is running. Bobby has my vote.

Bobby hasn’t even been in the race a week, but today’s already the first fundraising deadline for his campaign.

I first met Bobby before he was Governor. He spoke at our church, and just preached. My family was so impressed, and we have been a fan of his ever since.

I know the values Bobby has. He is a good man. An honest man. A Godly man. And I’m proud to call him a friend.

We are blessed to live in the greatest country in the world. We need Bobby’s leadership to help fix the mess in Washington. I’m the kind of guy who really likes smart people – and Bobby’s one of the smartest people I’ve ever met in my life.

Thank you,

Willie Robertson President, Duck and Buck Commander
