Pro-Life Activist Exonerated in Court

Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust Founder Jeff White

The sad fact is that many mainline Protestant denominations have embraced the lie that abortion is a “right.”

Jeff White, founder of Survivors of the Abortion Holocaust, has been raising up a new generation of pro-life champions to campaign for the pre-born right to life. Survivors is a nationwide faith-based organization that is equipping young people to be those advocates for human life in the womb.

Last November, White was distributing leaflets for a pro-life congressional candidate in a church parking lot when he was confronted by the church’s security guards. The security team surrounded him, harassed him and then beat him to the ground before calling local police.

White, however, was charged with battery in the incident after local police accepted statements from the church’s security team over his own. Allison Aranda, senior counsel at Life Legal Defense, took up the case and argued for months the arrest was illegal.

Now, finally, a court has agreed with that assessment and dropped all charges against the pro-life activist. Life Legal had obtained a video of the incident, which shows that Jeff White was cornered by the security guards, and shared it with the court at a hearing Wednesday.

White and Life Legal are now exploring whether or not to pursue lawsuits against the church and local law enforcement.

“We are appalled that a pro-life activist would be attacked in this way simply because he was handing out literature,” Life Legal Defense Foundation Executive Director Alexandra Snyder said. “It took several months, but we are pleased that the court finally delivered justice for Jeff White.” {eoa}
