One of President Donald Trump's manufacturing advisers quit this weekend over the president's response to the Charlottesville rally.
After white supremacists rallied in Charlottesville, Virginia, the president tweeted:
We ALL must be united & condemn all that hate stands for. There is no place for this kind of violence in America. Lets come together as one!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) Aug. 12, 2017
We will continue to follow developments in Charlottesville, and will provide whatever assistance is needed. We are ready, willing and able. pic.twitter.com/mCTYBgUePi— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) Aug.12, 2017
Trump blasted Frazier for his decision, tweeting:
Now that Ken Frazier of Merck Pharma has resigned from President's Manufacturing Council, he will have more time to LOWER RIPOFF DRUG PRICES!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) Aug. 14, 2017
Frazier sits on the board of Cornerstone Christian Academy in Pennsylvania.
According to its website, the mission of Cornerstone Christian Academy is to educate children, including those from at-risk neighborhoods in an environment that provides the highest standards for academic achievement and spiritual development.
