Cissie Graham Lynch, the granddaughter of the Rev. Billy Graham and daughter of the Rev. Franklin Graham, says she has a new mission, now that President-elect Donald Trump has won the White House.
In an interview with her hometown newspaper, Lynch said it’s time for Christians to come back together in unity to help the nation heal after a very contentious election cycle.
“The last year, you could really just feel the fire in people’s hearts,” she said. “I see it every day.
“I have friends who wouldn’t even tell their family members who they were voting for. We’re already a divided country for many reasons.
“We can look at the popular vote in this country. We obviously have a divided country. Churches have been divided. Families have been divided.
“As believers in Jesus, we have to unite. We have to come together. There’s a lot of healing that has to be done.
“We need to pray that we are honorable and respectful.”
