Prophecy: In 2020, God Is Going to Deal with Abominations

God is going to deal with abominations in the body with a stronger hand. Ironically, many voices stand against abominations in hypocrisy. They are calling out sin from a position of hidden sin. They are leading the body of Christ into perversion while speaking against perversion.

Abomination is mentioned in the New King James Version of the Bible 144 times. Some of these mentions have to do with the Israelites being an abomination to their enemies, but many of these references have to do with things abominable to God.

What does abomination mean? Extreme disgust, hatred and loathing, according to Merriam-Webster's dictionary. What are these abominations God is going to address with a stronger hand?

Proverbs 6:16-19 lists seven things that are also abominations: "haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are swift in running to mischief, a false witness who utters lies, and one who spreads strife among brothers."

Haughty Eyes

Haughty eyes speaks of someone with a prideful attitude who thinks they are better than other people. The definition of haughty is "blatantly and disdainfully proud, having or showing an attitude of superiority and contempt for people or things perceived to be inferior."

Haughty preachers think they are more anointed, more stylish, more revelatory and theologically superior. They think they are too good to partner with others, to preach in certain places, to be seen with certain people. Some haughty preachers will be brought low sooner than they think.

But there are haughty believers, too.

Lying Tongue

Satan is the father of all lies, and some people let him get hold of their tongues without repentance. Proverbs 12:22 echoes Proverbs 6: "Lying lips are an abomination to the Lord, but those who deal truthfully are His delight."
