God Is Still Seeking Worshippers

"At the moment her aunt heard Mary's voice, the baby within Elizabeth's womb jumped and kicked. And suddenly, Elizabeth was filled to overflowing with the Holy Spirit! With a loud voice she prophesied with power: ... The moment you came in the door and greeted me, my baby danced inside me with joy! ... And Mary sang this song: 'My soul is ecstatic, overflowing with praises to God! My spirit bursts with joy over my life-giving God!'" (Luke 1:41-42, 44, 46-47, TPT, emphasis added).

God the Father is seeking those who worship Him in spirit and in truth.

"From now on, worshiping the Father will not be a matter of the right place but with a right heart. For God is a Spirit, and he longs to have sincere worshipers who adore him in the realm of the Spirit and in truth" (John 4:23-24).

Under the New Covenant, we are the temple of God, or the house of God, not a place or a building or a particular city or mountain. In the Old Covenant, David danced with " all his might" (2 Sam. 6:14b, NLT), but in the New Covenant, the saints dance "in the Spirit." There is a difference. In fact, the real Christian life under the New Covenant is to be "in the Spirit." We are to walk and live in the Spirit. We are to pray in the Spirit. We are to worship in the Spirit. We are to be led by the Spirit. Too many Christians still live in an Old Covenant mentality instead of a New Covenant reality. Much of the Old Covenant is a type and shadow of things to come. The New Covenant is no longer a shadow but the light and glory of what Jesus established.

Imagine the high priest coming out of the holy of holies, a 20-by-40-foot room where the shekinah glory of God was in manifestation. No one else under the Old Covenant could enter, only the high priest. When he came out, the people of Israel could not relate to what he felt and even saw in that place.

It's the same today with God's people who worship in "spirit and truth" (John 4:24b) and those who are still bound by a traditional mindset or have never been born again or filled with the Spirit. A spirit that is alive unto God calls Him Father and worships Him in "spirit and in truth." This spirit grows in the New Covenant consciousness that God no longer dwells in a temple made with human hands but within this spirit, which is now the temple of God. Glory to God! That is an awesome reality about which many Christians need to receive a revelation. It will change the way they walk and talk and live. And of course, it will change the way they worship.

A Global Movement

There is now a global movement of a certain sound true worshippers are hearing. It is like the sound the 120, all in one accord, heard on the day of Pentecost (Acts 2). It is like the sound the 120 priests sounded with their trumpets when the singers and musicians were one, and they made one sound in praising and thanking the Lord, such that the glory cloud rolled in and the priests could no longer stand (2 Chron. 5:11-14).

We are going to see a fresh anointing coming on the body of Christ as individuals learn to adore and worship the Father in spirit and in truth. It will be as it was for Mary and Elizabeth when the babe leaped in Elizabeth's womb. Both women were filled with joy and ecstasy, prophesying with power as they sang and magnified the Lord with shouts of joy (Luke 1:39-55).

Singers and musicians will sing and play unrehearsed melodies and high praises from heaven. A new sound will be heard, and the glory of the Lord will manifest upon the true worshippers.
