In the wake of a disputed election, Cheryl Chumley, a leading voice for Christ and longtime online opinion editor at The Washington Times, outlines in her new book, Lockdown, how socialist and communist haters of America and Christ desperately used restrictive pandemic policies in an attempt to take over the U.S.
Chumley begins with a warning to believers that we are in a fight for the very future of our country, saying, “Christians in this country need to awaken to the fact that Democrats have been infiltrated by a far Left and very secular, even atheist, agenda driven by people who want to completely destroy all that’s great about America—mostly, God-given individual liberties.”
In great detail, she outlines how socialists and communists, with a plan on the books for years, have carefully and systematically attempted to take over the country, from controlling the media to using medicine to controlling health care to using climate control to stop capitalism.
“These people will stop at nothing to accomplish their goals, even going so far as to exploit a virus for political gain,” she warns believers. “This is what the Left is busily doing with the coronavirus, using it to stoke fears and control the county and its citizens. It’s up to believers to take the lead in this very 12th-hour battle for America, because it’s believers, first and foremost, who understand what it means to say that rights come from God, not government.”
Stephen Strang, bestselling author of God and Cancel Culture, writes in God, Trump and the 2020 Election, “Christians see things as spiritual in nature. We sense that there is more going on than what we can see with our physical eyes.” He echoes the apostle Paul’s words in Ephesians 6:12, “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”
Chumley has particular words for Anthony Fauci, President Joe Biden’s chief medical adviser. “After all, how can a humanist like Anthony Fauci or those who don’t believe in the concept of sin or the miracle of the cross and sacrifice of Jesus for all of humanity—how can these blind and wicked people understand ‘God-given’ if they don’t believe in God?””
Lockdown: The Socialist Plan To Take Away Your Freedom is a roadmap for believers to understand the urgent spiritual battle now taking place for America. It also offers hope that in spite of it all, God will triumph, and in the end, liberty will lead.
“For Jesus always, for America the free and for those who would fight to the end for both,” reads the book’s dedication. Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee says, “Don’t put off reading this book and regret that you failed to realize the threat we face.”
