White House Breakthrough Reveals the Power of Answered Prayer

God always answers prayer. Sometimes it takes a while, particularly in inhospitable locations. With sustained daily prayer restored to the interior of the White House in July of 2021, after nearly eight months without, a sudden breakthrough has occurred. On Monday, after a routine press conference in which questions from only the two front rows of mainstream media were allowed and press secretary Jen Psaki read from prepared notes, the press room suddenly exploded.

"We cannot do this anymore," shouted one of the ignored journalists. "We need to stand up for this and stop it."

The normally compliant mainstream media had finally had enough, and an impromptu White House Correspondents' Association meeting took place, lasting nearly a half-hour. Loud voices silenced for nearly a year broke forth with comments such as, "I have been here nearly every day for over a year and have not been able to ask one question! I've had it."

The head of the WHCA finally agreed to step in, stand up to the White House and change the system so the standard Q&A system could be resumed.

The following day, the atmosphere in the press room had changed from Monday's contentious environment. A chastised Psaki apologized for the situation and, for the first time since the inauguration, took questions from throughout the room. This unleashed an avalanche of unscripted questions, much to her chagrin and astonishment.

The backstory to all this is that the White House Prayer Team has been quietly praying every day from its meeting place inside the White House. "It was truly astounding to feel the spiritual battle taking place and the sudden spiritual victory as the power of God flowed through the room," said a prayer team member. "We could feel the ebb and flow and finally—victory!"

"We had our doubts, as it seemed like in spite of daily prayer, things were actually getting worse with prayer team members fired from their jobs, unable to attend and a general strong, anti-Christian atmosphere pervading the White House campus, but suddenly the breakthrough came," the intercessor added. "We ask all who pray to focus their prayers on the White House that the breakthrough will continue and grow, and that those who hate America and hate our blessed Savior will be touched by the power of God, fall to their knees and come to Christ."

Author Stephen Strang quotes Gen. George Patton in his bestselling book, God, Trump and the 2020 Election:: "Some people call that getting the breaks. I call it God. God has His part, or margin in everything. That's where prayer comes in," reflecting Mark 11:24 (MEV), "Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you will receive them, and you will have them."

Believers, many who have thrown up their hands in dismay as inflation runs out of control, the world seemingly is collapsing and men and women are attacked, must cling to the reminder of Proverbs 21:1: "The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water; He turns it to any place He will."

This serves to remind men and women of faith that prayer is working in spite of it all. God is breaking through, the "king" has no power against the true King and believers have victory through the cross.
