Journalist Advances Truth, Says God Loves Imperfect People

In the hard-hitting, bitter and deeply divided Washington. D.C., media market, it is rare to find someone who seems to fly above it all with conviction, kindness and class. But Anna Perez, a rising voice among conservatives, fits that description.

Interviewed in the studios of the up-and-coming Real America’s Voice Washington, D.C., bureau, Perez is passionate and focused.

“I wasn’t always like this,” Perez says. “My father came from Cuba and I was raised a Catholic, but it was not until much later that I met the Lord Jesus Christ and found faith.” In a message to many young people contemplating what they should do with their lives but unable to decide, Perez describes going to university with the vague idea of wanting to be in media, but unsure how and why.

“One of my friends mentioned Real America’s Voice and even though it sounds hard to believe, I just Googled it and they had a job opening, so I came over. It truly was a miracle—a “Google” answer to prayer,” she adds.

Reflecting on her Catholic upbringing, Perez says, “One of the big barriers I had to coming to Christ was something that I think a lot of people have—not feeling that I was good enough. Compared to people who grow up in churches with faith from the time they are children, probably most people have never encountered real faith and think that it is just for the perfect people. What changed my life was the understanding that God specializes in imperfect people because He wants all the glory. When we are too ‘good,’ we steal some of that glory. When we are imperfect, people look at us and say, ‘It sure isn’t them—it must be God,’ and He gets all the glory.

“One of the most amazing things I have discovered is God does not just change us; He makes us better, the best version of ourselves,” she continues. “He takes us as we are and makes us in His image, the best version of ourselves, complete with our personal qualities, just shined up for His glory.”

After serving as a producer at the new conservative voice, Real America’s Voice, Perez has graduated and started her own show, Common Sense, a fast-paced, politically incorrect but biblically sound program every Saturday at 4 p.m. on the nationwide platform, available on Roku, DISH, Pluto TV, Amazon Fire, Apple TV, Google Play and major social media platforms.

Founded in 2018 by entrepreneur Howard Diamond, the Colorado-based platform, which reminds many of the original Fox News, is the home of the 10-12 a.m. and 5-6 p.m. daily War Room of Steve Bannon, famed former White House Correspondent Ed Henry and many others with a decidedly Christian and conservative worldview.

Former Trump adviser Dr. Gina Loudon, president of programming, says, “Real America’s Voice is a platform for patriots all across America who care about traditional values.”

Stephen Strang, bestselling author of God and Cancel Culture, writes in God, Trump and the 2020 Election, “Light versus darkness. Good versus evil. God’s plans and purposes versus the enemy’s deceitful agenda. That is the binary way Bible-believing Christians see the world.” These words reflect Ephesians 6:12, “For our fight is not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, and against spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.”

“We are in a battle for our future,” Perez says. “It is not a political battle; it is not Republican against Democrat, liberal versus conservative; it is a battle between good and evil. And all of us — regardless of where we are in life or what we are doing—are called to be a part of this battle, which we will win.” {eoa}
