“America shall be saved!”

This is the cry of evangelist, prophet and author Chris Overstreet’s heart. It is a clarion call being sounded across the nation by Compassion to Action, the ministry founded by Chris and his wife, Stefanie. This passion is fueled by a desire to see a Great Awakening in America. With that, he has a vision to help raise up evangelists across the nation, to rally the body of Christ around the cross to reach cities all across America for Jesus.

Compassion to Action has a primary mission, and Chris says that is, “training and equipping this generation to fulfill the Great Commission—by reaching millions with the compassion of Christ.” To put it simply, “Reach the lost. Make disciples. Put compassion into action.” Chris has taken his vision and passion, activated them with faith, and is doing just that. It’s sparking a movement that is filling events and mobilizing believers to reach the lost.

Chris served on staff at Bethel church in Redding, California, for 15 years, training and equipping thousands of Bethel School of Supernatural Ministry students in power evangelism. Pastor Bill Johnson says about Chris, “He is an evangelist, pure and simple. The impact of his life on our city is beyond measure.”

Now, Chris is taking that experience and transferring it to the cities of America and those in the body of Christ who desire to walk boldly and live out the gospel in fulfilling the Great Commission. As a result, testimony after testimony is pouring in of ordinary Christians hearing from God, and as they go into the streets or workplace, God using them in powerful, life-altering ways.

Chris’ passion for the lost and broken comes from his own story. You can certainly hear it in his voice when he shares about accepting Jesus at age 18 when he was in jail—a broken, 400-pound man who did not value himself. Yet God in His mercy and goodness began to share His purpose for the young evangelist’s life and instill hope and a plan for shedding the excess weight as well as the baggage of the past. Chris’ surrender to God’s plan has taken him around the world and led him to speak to thousands.

Chris demonstrates radical faith and boldness, and this transfers into his training, equipping believers to boldly step out for Christ and let God use them to impact someone’s life—on the street, in business, the grocery store—wherever they go.

Chris believes that “God is calling us all to go beyond the four walls to change the world!”

Author and speaker Lisa Bevere says, “Compassion to Action is mobilizing men and women who are crying out with one voice for the salvation of our America.”

Christ For All Nations’ Daniel Kolenda affirms that “God is doing something special with Chris Overstreet and Compassion to Action and this whole movement around the country to bring America to Jesus. The cry is ‘America Shall Be Saved’; we believe that with all of our heart. We are living in the greatest season of harvest in the history of the world!”
