Hundreds Hungry for Holy Spirit at ‘Miracle Doctor’s’ Powerful Healing Service

Share:

People are hungry for the Holy Spirit, to experience healings and to see miracles. I saw that firsthand last night, Feb. 9, when Christian cardiologist Dr. Chauncey Crandall held a “Healing & Encounter Night.” Hundreds of people attended the event, which was held at the Tanah Keeta Scout Reservation in Tequesta, Florida.

The gathering resembled an old-fashioned tent meeting as Dr. Crandall—who’s actually a good friend of mine—preached on the supernatural power of Jesus Christ. You may have heard Dr. Crandall’s name from a few years ago, when he prayed over one of his patients who had died and the man came back to life. It was an incredible story and a testimony to the fact that God still heals today. In fact, because of that story, some have even referred to him as the “miracle doctor.”

After the event ended, I had the chance to interview Dr. Crandall about the service. He shared why God has given him such a passion to preach the fullness of the gospel, including about the miracle-working power of the Holy Spirit.

I encourage you to read our full interview below:

Me: Dr. Crandall, it was an amazing service last night. Tell me what happened.

Dr. Crandall: Hi. You know, Steve, last night the power of the Holy Spirit came to this meeting. And there were people from all denominations that were there. You know, the Catholics, the Methodists, Episcopalians, everyone from all denominational backgrounds were there to experience God and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And I just want to tell you, the service was very, very sweet. And it moves me greatly.

Me: You gave a pretty incredible teaching. Can you hit the high points about sin and salvation?

Dr. Crandall: We know, Steve, sin is always pulling us down. It’s really like gravity. Gravity is always pulling; you can’t escape it, and sin is the same way. It’s constantly pulling you down and down and down and there is no escape outside of Jesus. Jesus is our Savior. He is the one that can come underneath you and pull you up, up and up out of all circumstances, and all darkness that’s possibly in your life, and there is no other way to escape sin but to have a relationship in Jesus Christ.

Me: There were a lot of sick people there. Why did they come?

Dr. Crandall: Well, you know, I believe the church today, organized church, is not proclaiming the gospel in its fullness. It’s not seeing miracles, signs and wonders. There are no healing services today. There are no prolonged prayer services. And we had ministers from different denominations who were there to be witnesses to the outpouring of the Holy Spirit. And people from all backgrounds with various illnesses—I was overcome by how many people are sick, Steve, and it just, it grieves my heart. And the only way out is through Christ. He is the only one who can provide the miracle that is needed in your life. And these people came and called on Almighty God, and He touched many that were there.

Me: And you’re a cardiologist. It’s not very often that a medical doctor preaches like this. What prompted that?

Dr. Crandall: Well, many years ago, I had a son who was very sick and he was dying. And there was no way out. I had been a born-again believer for 20 years, but I was in a denominational church that didn’t proclaim Christ in the way that I am with you today. They didn’t walk in the fullness. And at that point in my life, I needed everything that Christ could give me. But I didn’t know how to get there, Steve. No one had taught me. I didn’t understand the Scripture fully, that we could pray to Christ Jesus, and He could come to us, He could heal us, He could deliver us. And this was a big change in my life 20 years ago, and ever since then, I have been pursuing Him with everything that I have.

Me: Throughout history, it seems like there are ebbs and flows with this kind of ministry. Do you sense that something new is happening?

Dr. Crandall: I believe there is something new and that it’s called the outpouring of the Holy Spirit, and it is coming to this nation. And we are feeling the ground breaking for this new move and new power through the Holy Spirit. It’s always been available. But now we’re coming out from underground, so to speak, and proclaiming Christ’s greatness and we are going to see a mighty move like a mighty ocean, a mighty wave that will come over this land. I believe it is starting right now, Steve.

Me: And if anyone wants to connect with you and your ministry, is there a website or a YouTube channel? How could they contact you or find out more about what the Lord is doing through your ministry?

Dr. Crandall: Well, the best way is just to go on Google and put in Chauncey Crandall on there, and you’ll see many of the sites that we have and many of the YouTube channels that are out there. But I would ask that you would go to chaunceycrandall.com and you can get me through that site. And it would be a great blessing for me if you did contact us.

I hope you enjoyed my interview with Dr. Crandall. I encourage you to listen to my podcast today, where I not only share the interview, but also more of my thoughts and observations on this powerful event. Be sure to share this article with your friends and spread the good news that God still does miracles in our day.
