We are in a spiritual war, and sometimes we don’t realize it is a war that is raging against us. Familiar spirits cause the same negative cycles, seasons and patterns happening in our life.
Yes, there are times we make unwise decisions and stay stuck in negative habits that we shouldn’t. However, there is also an unknown demonic force that can be operating behind the stress and strain we are experiencing. Familiar spirits are at work to keep us on a hamster wheel, spinning around in negative circles instead of walking forward in a positive and productive direction.
Are you stressed over your health condition or financial lack? Familiar spirits can be in operation in the spiritual realm targeting you for spiritual attacks against your health and finances. Yes, we can’t blame everything on a demon. We have to want to change and we do make unwise decisions that can result in a loss of finances and ill health. But we have to also realize there is an adversary that wants to steal, kill and destroy and he will use every avenue possible and any tactic available.
Are you experiencing continual financial insufficiency? Does it seem like no matter how hard you try to get bills paid off and become financially stable that you stay stuck in a place of lack or even fall further behind? Does it appear that just when you find you can breathe in the financial situation, an unexpected event happens, which causes financial stress and loss?
If these questions resonate with you, then take a step back and discern and ask the Holy Spirit for the root cause of these financial setbacks. Be open for His instruction and correction if your financial strain is due to lack of motivation and will power on your part. We have all made poor choices at one time or another with our finances and probably have caused bills to come forth that were unnecessary.
However, when we are generally working, tithing and being wise with our money and it appears as if we are receiving attack after attack, this is the work of a familiar spirit. The familiar spirit could be manifesting in the present, or it could be attached to a spirit of poverty or lack in your generational line. Either way, these financial setbacks and familiar spirits can stop when we identify them and pray effectively against them.
What about medical conditions? We know there are generational medical problems, which I also believe are attached to a familiar spirit. Perhaps it feels as if you are always sick or struggling with an infirmity. It doesn’t seem normal and feels like a spiritual warfare attack, but you don’t know how to prevent it.
Familiar spirits in medical conditions can also cause accidents, injuries and emergency-type situations that are unexplainable or repeatedly manifest. I saw this in my son’s life when he was little; he visited the emergency room once a year for what most would call unusual things. After he has about 12 years old and I learned about curses I broke the curse and he has gone the next 14 years without a hospital or urgent care visit. Identifying where the curse is at work and why it is manifesting will help you in breaking the power of the familiar spirit.
Familiar spirits keep the same negative things cycling through our lives and can leave us in a defeat and victim mentality. Where do you struggle to receive breakthrough in repeated negative happenings?
As you identify what seems to keep attacking, pray against it. Start by speaking out audibly, “I command all familiar spirits to leave, in Jesus’ name. I call off every familiar spirit assignment against my finances, health and family. I speak and decree that I am redeemed from the curse and that all familiar spirits are unassigned to my family by the blood of the Lamb.”
Continue to pray and speak out as the Holy Spirit gives you instruction. Trust Him that He will continue the prayer and give you the revelation that needs to be prayed out to continue breaking any curse. Remember, you have power and authority over the demonic and Jesus conquered the devil at the cross.
Therefore, rise up, discern, take the victory Jesus purchased for you, put the devil under your feet and end the repeated pattern of negative things in your life by annihilating every familiar spirit operating against you.
