FIRST LISTEN: Lauren Daigle’s ‘Still Rolling Stones’ a Modern Take on Ezekiel’s Dry Bones Prophecy

Share:

Thousands of years ago, Ezekiel prophesied dry bones coming to life.

“Therefore prophesy and say to them, Thus says the Lord God: Pay attention, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up out of your graves and bring you into the land of Israel” (Ezek. 37:12) the Lord told Ezekiel.

In 2018, musician Lauren Daigle’s latest tune sounds like a modern take on the ancient prophecy.

“Out of the shadows/ Bound for the gallows/ A dead man walking/T ill love came calling/ Rise up (rise up)/ Rise up (rise up),” Daigle sings. “Six feet under/ I thought it was over/ An answer to prayer/ The voice of a Savior/ Rise up (rise up)/ Rise up (rise up).”
