First of all, then, I urge that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and thanksgivings be made for all people, for kings and all who are in high positions, that we may lead a peaceful and quiet life, godly and dignified in every way. This is good, and it is pleasing in the sight of God our Savior, who desires all people to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth (1 Tim. 2:1-4, ESV).
God our Heavenly Father, King of kings and Lord of lords, we ask You to bless our president, Barack Obama, so that he will yield to Your will and walk in Your ways. We pray that you would lead him to repent of his sins:
Of promoting homosexual marriage,
Of promoting the murder of unborn babies,
For deceiving the American people regarding the effects of his plans for health care,
For refusing to execute the laws of the nation,
For usurping the power to change existing laws to suit his will.
We pray that you would lead President Obama to humbly heed Your Word and govern our nation in righteousness. Bless our nation and restore us to faith and obedience. In the strong name of Jesus we pray. Amen.
