Marilyn Hickey's Success Secret: I Declare These 40 Promises Every Morning

Marilyn Hickey (Marilyn Hickey Facebook page)

Marilyn Hickey preaches around the world with the enthusiasm of a teenager. She's bringing the Good News of Jesus to hundreds of thousands in the Middle East and her crusades are helping to tear down strongholds and obstacles to the gospel.

The secret behind her limitless energy, she says, is a fresh dose of the Holy Spirit and making sure she's empowered by God's Word every morning before she hits the front lines of battle. Hickey says she was first filled with the Holy Ghost at 23, sparking a transformation that helped her become of the most well-known and beloved preachers of her time.

"I always wake up and say, 'Good morning, Father. Good morning, Jesus. Good morning, Holy Spirit,'" Hickey told Dr. Steve Greene on a recent episode of Greenelines on the Charisma Podcast Network. "This is your beloved Marilyn. I say that because He calls us beloved over 60 times in the New Testament. I make coffee and I speak 40 promises of the Word. Then I read the Word, every morning.

"All of those things are the key to my energy, and that's what I would tell everyone. For you to win in life and be successful in your ministry, read the Word so you have faith for these people. Ask God to give you a hearing ear.

"Joshua 1:8 says if you meditate on the Word day and night, if you speak the Word day and night, you will be successful in everything you do. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. He builds my faith, and faith comes by hearing the Word."
