Jack Hibbs: The Deception Jesus Talked About Is Here—Right Now

Pastor Jack Hibbs says the beginning of the seven-year tribulation period the Bible refers to in Revelation is getting close—closer than some may think.

The senior pastor of Calvary Chapel Chino Hills in Chino Hills, California, Hibbs says that Jesus himself said there will be certain things to look for to indicate what we refer to as “the end of the world, clear indicators that will lead up to crescendo of ungodliness and unrighteousness.”

We need only take a look at what is happening our culture right now to agree.

“This is serious business, church. You won’t be hearing a sermon like this in most churches in America on Sunday morning,” Hibbs said in a recent sermon. “Jesus said there will come a time of escalation of deception against the truth. He said 2,000 years ago that there will be an escalation of the deconstruction of society.

“In Genesis 27:28, He said, ‘God created man in his own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. God blessed them and said to them, “Be fruitful and multiply, and replenish the earth and subdue it.”‘

“Jesus said there is going to come a time as we get near the end that there would be escalation of the deconstruction regarding society. Jesus said there would come an escalation of calamities on earth. Just look at Matthew 24:7 for that Scripture. Jesus said there would be an escalation of the death of brotherly love, that man’s common, general love for one another would grow cold (Matthew 24:10,12).

“Jesus said there would be an escalation of the devaluating of human life (Luke 17:26),” Hibbs says. “Ask yourself if these things are true right now.”
