Shawn Bolz: God's Order Will Come

After hosting "Jesus in Passover" with Rabbi Jason Sobel on TBN, I had an encounter with the Holy Spirit. As I focused on this Passover and Easter season, I saw strong winds as if there was a hurricane or a Category 5 tornado hitting the Earth.

It wasn't God's judgment, but it was the theme that God can do something in an instant or "suddenly" and make something happen in a day that would normally take years to happen.

"Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting" (Acts 2:2, NIV).

This passage depicts the moment when the Holy Spirit came upon the disciples at Pentecost. God moved suddenly and powerfully, transforming their lives and empowering them to spread the gospel. This divine intervention shows us that God can move in unexpected ways, bringing about profound changes in our lives in an instant.

There has been a theme in a lot of Christian churches where pastors have preached on the "Suddenly God came." Especially when there is great harm or problems on the earth, God can instantly do what normally takes much process for the sake of His people.

The Greek word for suddenly is aphno and it means unaware; unexpected, suddenly. We serve the God of "suddenly."

We see this all through the Scriptures and God even defines this nature of 'suddenly' to His people in Isaiah and Malachi:

"I foretold the former things long ago, my mouth announced them, and I made them known; then suddenly I acted, and they came to pass" (Isa. 48:3, NIV).

In this verse, we see that God can declare His plans and then bring it to pass "suddenly." He is not confined by the limitations of time or our understanding of the process. He can act and make things happen according to His perfect timing and divine plan.

"'I will send My messenger, who will prepare the way before Me. Then suddenly the Lord you are seeking will come to His temple; the messenger of the covenant, whom you desire, will come, says the LORD Almighty" (Mal. 3:1, NIV).

In this prophetic word, we see a promise that the Lord will come suddenly to His temple. This speaks to the unexpected arrival of Jesus Christ, our Savior, who came to redeem humanity and restore our relationship with God. His arrival demonstrates that God's divine plan can unfold suddenly, bringing hope and salvation to a world in desperate need.

These Scriptures remind us that God is sovereign and not limited by our understanding of time or process. When He moves suddenly, it is always in perfect alignment with His divine purpose and plan for our lives. Let us take heart and trust in His ability to bring about the breakthroughs we need, knowing that He can and will act "suddenly" on our behalf.

I can feel that God intends to reveal His plans and strategies to believers all over the world in this next season. I saw a 10-year calendar of God executing plans that He has been setting up over the past 50 years but for those of us who have experienced it, it will feel "suddenly".

You might have been praying or believing for changes in your life, your family, your career, your finances, your health but when God comes with answers it is a before and after moment in your faith.

Everything around us feels chaotic right now. The political atmosphere, racial tensions, sexual identity crises, religious intolerance, etc., but we have seen over and over in the Bible of God's ability to bring order out of chaos and deliverance to His people!

In this season, I sensed that God is going to set reminders for us of His faithfulness and commitment to bring breakthrough and deliverance to His people. There will be some "wins" to biblical values, family drama's that feel irreconcilable, health & deliverance issues, Christian legal cases, celebrity salvations and financial investments into Christian led initiatives that will stun everyone, including the Christian community.

As I saw these winds hit the earth, things happened. I saw some high-level political leaders in several Western countries are going to come under conviction of the Holy Spirit over certain laws or issues in their nation and will turn the tide in some of the chaos that has been reigning under their administration.

I saw some of the darkest celebrities who the world is fascinated by but for all the wrong reasons, come into authentic Christianity and use their platform to bring thousands of people to Christ. They will start offering online Christian content on social media, contributing to Christian events and even becoming biblical teachers themselves.

Just like God raised up King David to defeat Goliath when he was only a shepherd boy that no one had heard of, there will be David's raised up who have killed the lion and bear in secret and now it's their time to take down some major 'giants.'

As we look at the Scriptures, we can see countless examples of God coming through for His people in extraordinary ways.

One of the key passages that comes to mind is Exodus 14:13-14, where Moses encouraged the Israelites not to be afraid, as God will fight for them:

"Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today, you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still."

God is giving weapons to us in this cultural warfare to bring about a deliverance for future generations. Everything from appointing elected officials, to raising up new church movements who are fighting in the cultural justice battles that are currently being won by progressive liberals and socialists in many nations. We are going to see the turning of the tides and the sea part! Don't forget that for every action we can see in communism, sexual corruption or financial destitution, that God has a plan that He has been masterfully setting up to put the enemy in check and to advance His own kingdom on the earth through His people.

Another powerful passage is Psalm 91:14-15, highlights God's protection and faithfulness:

"'Because he loves me,' says the Lord, 'I will rescue him; I will protect him, for he acknowledges My name. He will call on Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.'"

As we celebrate this Passover season, let's remember that God's love for us is unchanging, and His protection and deliverance are always available to those who call upon His name.

In Ephesians 3:20-21, we are reminded of the incredible power that God has to bring blessings into our lives:

"Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us, to Him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen."

March CM CoverIn this chaotic world, let's hold on to these promises and trust that God is working on our behalf. I feel like God wants to align you to the ultimate deliverance and victory that Jesus secured for us on the cross. Sometimes we can become distracted in our focus by the world's chaos and we don't realize what Jesus already did through His incredible resurrection power that still pays dividends to this day.

What is the "suddenly" you need? Define it with God and see Him do Ephesians 3:20, beyond what you can hope for or imagine.
