After just three and half months, gospel singer Dante Bowe is back and releasing a new album after cutting ties with Maverick City Music.

Launching his new career away from Bethel Music and Maverick City, Bowe was live on Good Morning America to announce his new album "Press Play."

In an interview with CBN, Bowe didn't address any of the allegations circulating online about why he stepped down but he says, "God's going to use people and things to catapult you into your next step."

Maverick City Music put out a statement late September announcing they were severing the professional relationship. The statement read, "Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs, we have decided to put a pause on our professional relationship with Dante Bowe."

Subsequently Bowe posted on social media Sept. 26, 2022 that he was going to "take time off social media to rest mentally and physically." That break didn't last long with Bowe releasing a new single "Hide Me" and his album "Press Play" coming out in the coming months.

"You know, God's going to use people and things to catapult you into your next step. And so, I don't think it was something that shouldn't have happened. I think it should've happened because now I have this incredible team," he says during the interview.

Bowe has rebuilt his infrastructure, launching his own label called True Music. "I feel healthier than ever, better than ever, brighter than ever. Feel closer to God," he says.

It's unclear whether Bowe addressed any of the issues that led to Maverick City cutting ties with him, but he says in those few months God had him under His shadow. "I felt so hidden, so protected and close to Him."

In his new single "Hide Me" the lyrics say, "Even in the middle of the night, I know it's gonna be alright You hide me. Surrounded on every side, but my enemies won't survive." The song continues to say, "Sin's a robber who wants everything. Looking on the brighter side, I can't believe You're still alive. You hide me. I think it's gonna be alright, my enemies won't survive."
