In a shocking statement, Maverick City Music announces to fans they are cutting ties with popular Christian and gospel singer Dante Bowe. In their statement they say "Due to behavior that is inconsistent with our core values and beliefs, we have decided to put a pause on our professional relationship with Dante Bowe."

Monday night Bowe took to his Instagram stories to announce he was going to "take time off social media to rest mentally and physically."

In Bowe's statement he says, "In light of recent events and opinions, I've talked to some of the wisest leaders and brothers around me." He continued to say, "Years ago, when I dreamt of all I would accomplish one day, I didn't account for the pressures and opinions that would come with it."

Bowe says it's important for people to take a "step back and refocus."

It is unclear what exactly happened that caused the group to cut ties with Bowe. Some are speculating it was a recent post the singer allegedly put up on his Instagram page of him on a party bus singing a Bad Bunny song. The song, 'Despues De La Playa' has explicit lyrics and is far from Christian values.

Maverick City Music is a collective of various artists from many different backgrounds. In their statement they say, "No one artist's actions or behavior can always be attributed as a reflection of our core beliefs and values."

No matter what happened, it is clear that Christians should pray that their fellow brothers and sisters in Christ walk in the light and find healing and restoration.

God is purifying and cleansing His bride and there is a revival of repentance that is sweeping across this nation. Everyone has an opportunity right now, in this hour, to get right before God and repent of their sin.

In order for revival to cover America, God is looking for a people who have humbled themselves and turned from their wicked ways. In Joel 2, God makes it clear that true repentance is not just an outward expression but one of the heart.

Joel 2:12-13 says, "Yet even now, declares the LORD, return to Me with all your heart, and with fasting and with weeping and with mourning. Rend your heart, and not your garments; return to the LORD your God, for He is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in steadfast love; and He relents from punishing."

Let this be a moment for all Christians to look inward and reflect on any hidden sin they may have and bring it forward into the light so God can do what He does best, heal and restore.
