Why Are Silicon Valley Elites Investing in ‘Apocalypse Insurance?’

Since the outbreak of COVID, some of the world’s wealthiest people have been hunkering down and buying state-of-the-art bunkers. The same Silicon Valley elites have been promoting and working to censor social media posts across the board.

Now the question is: Are the world’s elites preparing for civil unrest or buying bunkers as a hobby?

Charisma News reported earlier this month that Twitter, Facebook and TikTok are ramping up social media censorship ahead of the 2022 midterm elections. This continues to fuel the nationwide debate on whether these companies are trying to get rid of “false information” and “protect civic conversation,” or promote their own agendas.

One of the founders of PayPal, Peter Thiel, is among the billionaires making plans for an extensive lodge-like bunker in New Zealand. But his elaborate net worth couldn’t buy him the approval from the Queenstown-Lakes district council who voted against the lodge being built due to environmental concerns.

Larry Hall owns and develops bunkers through his company, Survival Condo Projects. He told FOX Business, “We had one person who bought … sight-unseen in four days. We sent them a video, they wired money and four days later, we closed.”

Survival Condo Projects converts missile silos “into a fully self-contained and secure luxury survival condo and resort.” On its website, the company says its clients aren’t the typical survivalist nut-jobs portrayed online, but are “successful, educated and well-to-do individuals who simply want peace of mind in the event of a natural or manmade disaster.”

The company’s main concern with clients is creating a space that is safe from the breakdown of society and complete civil unrest.

The luxury survival resort is located somewhere in Kansas and their buyers all have travel contingencies in the case of a major catastrophe or emergency.

While the world would be in chaos, these elites would have access to a hidden “50,000-gallon pool and spa area, movie theater, lounge, exercise facility, indoor shooting range, medical facility, rock climbing wall and even a dog park for the furry companions.”

Back in 2017, Steve Huffman, co-founder and chief executive of Reddit, told The New Yorker that, “I would guess 50-+%” of Silicon Valley billionaires have acquired some level of “apocalypse insurance.”

Whether they are adding fuel to the fire of another civil or world war and planning their own escape or just planning for a remote event, the Bible is clear on the matter. Psalm 2:1 says, “Why do the nations rage, and the peoples plot in vain?”

The Scripture continues in verse 4 saying, “He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord ridicules them.” {eoa}
