Evangelist Benny Hinn, whom I’ve known for more than 40 years, says God has shown him three key truths about what is happening today that have a direct connection to end-time prophecies having to do with Israel, Iran and the U.S.
On my Strang Report podcast, he pointed to the prophecy in Matthew 10:23, where Jesus sent his apostles to preach the gospel and told them, “You will not have gone through the cities of Israel before the Son of Man comes.”
He believes when the temple was destroyed in A.D. 70 and the Jews were dispersed throughout the world, the clock stopped on that prophecy. “For 2,000 years, there was silence in Israel. … 1948 came, and the Jews were restored to their homeland, but nobody wanted to do the gospel. And nobody was preaching it in Israel.”
Then five years ago, the prophetic clock began ticking again. “The Lord didn’t really say it was all going to happen while He was on the earth,” Hinn says. “He said, ‘Before you’re done, I’ll be back.'”
Because of the horrors of the Crusades and of the Nazis during the World War II era, Jews did not want to hear the gospel. But today, “Israelis are preaching the gospel to Israelis through social media, not limited by what the rabbis want,” Hinn says. “There’s no limit now for the preaching of the gospel. And in ’48, 30 Israelis knew the Lord. Three-zero. Today, over 30,000.” He points to the success of One for Israel Ministries, which is reaching many Israelis via YouTube.
Hinn says this news is especially exciting because it means Jesus’ return is near. What is happening in Iran, Russia and Turkey reveals “the beginning of Ezekiel 38,” he adds. “There will be a war in the Middle East; it’s no longer ‘if,’ it’s only ‘when.’ When that war happens, it will change the map, again, of the Arab world. … We all know from prophecy, God will intervene, and the Jewish people will be rescued, which will bring about changes in Jerusalem, and the Jews then will be able to build the temple.
As for America, Hinn says, its “decline began years ago, but nobody noticed it. Now, the world is noticing it. This decline is going to bring about the one-world government … and the leading nation will be the nation that will be the strongest in artificial intelligence. So artificial intelligence now will decide who is next as a superpower; would it be China? Or Russia? These are the only two nations right now competing for that position of the superpower on earth.”
Hinn believes that superpower will be China, which is developing in AI much faster than any other nation. And when the one-world government happens, the end of days will be here.
Because of that, “We need to pray for America right now,” he says. “Because things are moving faster than we citizens of the U.S. want to see them move. But God is in control. … But when you see these things, Jesus said, ‘Look up, your redemption draweth nigh.’ So the coming of the Lord is so near and so close. I think now all of us believers need to live the life of holiness as He commanded us to live and a life of righteousness, and not be so entangled in the affairs of this life.”
Not only have I known Benny since the 1970s when we were both starting out, I’ve chronicled how he has achieved worldwide fame during his 40-plus years of gospel ministry. I believe God continues to use him in powerful ways.
